3. Try the product or service

   You may like the company but what about the product or service it offers? If you like the product and if you are confident enough to promote it, then sign up. If not, proceed to the next company on your list. It is highly recommended that you try the product before you join and start marketing the business.  In order to become a successful consultant in the party plan business, you have to be passionate about your product and have enough confidence in the company and what it stands for. If you aren’t sold on the products or services personally, don’t fool yourself into believing that others will naively be sold on them either. How can you sell something that you don’t really care about? Every successful person in the industry will tell you how happy she is with the company and the product she represents and the enthusiasm shows.  Remember, people will ask you what you use form the product line and if you like it. So, use the product. Be mindful that actions speak louder than words, so let your actions show authentic passion for your product while your words provide support to how others can be impacted by them as well.

The company may have the best and most effective products, but does the marketing plan compensate your efforts? It should be well worth your effort, time and money. You don’t want to pay for your starter kit if the  company offers the same compensation as your day job. You’re working towards financial freedom, not financial failure so make sure your comp plan makes sense. Study the plan carefully, find out if it has the capacity to provide you the most lucrative income, and determine the time that you have to spend realizing those earnings.
