How Does Your Future Look? |
· What things you
like: This will determine what kind of company you choose and I really do hope
you choose mine.
· How much money you
wish to make: This will determine whether you stay on your job and work on your
business as a hobby or part time OR if you can leave your job and work on your
business full time.
· How many hours you
wish to work: again your considerations are Hobby, Part Time or Full Time. And..Will the Benefits outweigh any perceived risk?
· Can I really do this, Do I have what it takes? Of course you can do this. Do you consider yourself friendly? Are you a good
talker? Are you confident? If the answeres to any of these questions is
yes... you can do this and do this well.
Are Your Wings Built?
Have you determined
what you like? If you love beautiful things in your home, you may want to
choose a business which sells candles and home decor. If you love clothing and
accessories, you may want to choose a clothing or purse company or anyone of the
many jewelry companies. If you like to take care of your skin and use make-up,
then you may want to choose to become a consultant with Mary Kay (or some of the other skin care and self care companies). Not sure? Click Here to Find Options to the question: "What Should I Sell?"
Another factor to
deciding to join a direct sales company is time and money. How much time are
you willing to work. To make money doing a business like Mary Kay, you
have to sell a product. That product is Skin Care and Color Cosmetics,
Fragrances and Body Care Products. These are products which are needed in the
everyday lives of woman. To sell this product you would have to do, what
is called, a "party". Generally speaking 1 party a week will take
approximately 11/2 to 21/2 hours. On average a consultant will have at least 4 people
at that party. The company average for a party is approximately $250 - $400.(As per some Mary Kay Literature) But consider this - Some women make more!
Can You Get Excited?
The one thing you will have in your favor is Enthusiasm! And we all know that the last four letters are - IASM - I am sold myself. So, you are now armed with Confidence, Enthusiasm and a "List" of direct selling companies. Now it's Time to make your decision. I do understand that perhaps you may want to consult your husband or a family member and truly that is great. It is always good to have a second opinion. But let me share this with you; A Confused Mind Does Nothing. I would suggest One thing: That you RATE your intention.
- Research - You read the company literature of the company you are considering carefully and you do your research. Nothing is more effective in making a decision than doing your due diligence.
- Ask - Ask members of the sales force of the company you are considering, what you really want to know. Visit a sales force meeting or a selling opportunity. And ask plenty of questions.
- Try the Product - Let's face it. Shouldn't you experience the product first hand to know if you could (or should) sell the product?
- Evaluate - Evaluate and consider your research, your experience with the sales force and your experience with the product. Your gained knowledge is a tangible guide to help you make your final decision.
You can you know. All it takes is making a decision and following others who have gone before you. You won't be alone and you will have help along the way. The only way you can fail is if you don't try. So, are you going to start a direct sales business so that you too can stay at home? You owe it to yourself to try.
